Xu et al. sought to assess novel pathways by which progestational agents (PAs) may modify signal transduction pathways that are involved in cervical ripening. For microarray analysis, pregnant CD-1 dams were randomized to subcutaneous injection with either medroxyprogesterone acetate (1 mg/dam) or EtOH (vehicle) at embryonic day 15. Cervical tissues from each treatment group were harvested 48 hours after injection.
